because of a lack of physical activities, and the exigency to save some money, I decided not to take a cab this morning and walk my way to work instead.
but being the stupid little yuppy that i am (now), i forgot that it was already quarter to seven, and it takes roughly 30 minutes to get to PBCom from mrt ayala station by foot.. and when it finally occured to me that i was already late, i decided to run from makati ave all the way to PBCom.. and by run, i mean run, literally!
tick.. tock.. i can still make it.. i just need to go faster..
tick.. tock.. i still have 5 minutes.. faster!
tick.. tock.. im running out of air...
tick.. tock.. its already 7..

when i got to paseo de roxas, i finally decided to get a cab (i know! good thinking!) but there was none..
i run some more and then i saw a jeep slowing down to stop, i was gonna hop in but i was in an "unloading only" zone so i decided to keep running..
7:04 AM. I was finally outside PBCom..
7:05 AM. I was already in the elevator, finally out of air..
7:07 AM. I logged-in.
i was 7 minutes late.. damn it!!
i can't be late again.. i don't want to get a cite form, im not even in ops yet.. lol..

because of the scarcity of training rooms in cc3, we have been temporarily relocated here in cc2.. life is so much easier here in cc2.. there are more elevators here, not to mention that they are way too faster than those of cc3's.. the pantries here are roomy, plus we have cappuccino here.. and there's this cool hang-out place for smokers called "the patio." I would say that we are gonna enjoy our 1 week of stay here if not for the following:

anyway, though already in cc2, we still can't get over with the ghost stories from cc3.. we are already going nuts and the last thing we need is our trainer telling us about an agent and a TL who both died just recently..
we were all freezing because of the inhuman coldness of A/C when all of a sudden, a priest, yes you are right, a priest, with his army of employees holding lighted candles in their hands, came barging in and sprinkled holy water all over the place!! (like a scene from a typical pinoy good friday "prusisyon")
and yeah we were all dumbfounded!! i even jumped!! I mean, what the heck is a priest doing here?! did he know that we were just talking about lost souls at work?! did he want us to renew our faith so that we won't get scared anymore?! you have no idea how scared we were.. don't get me wrong, come on, it's not everyday that we see priests wandering around our workplaces.. freaky.. and yeah.. without saying a word he raised his flask of holy water and watered us all like dried lilies.. and why does his company of employees have lighted candles?! i think someone tipped them that some group of trainees and their trainer are in need of a divine intervention to stop all of their craziness.. ha! beat that!
yeah.. really spooky and weird all the same.. go scare each other and expect a priest to bless you out of nowhere with a group of candle bearers..
i was waiting for jamie kennedy to come out and say "youve been X-ed guys" or ashton to shout "you've been punked" or shannon revealing that we've been on "scare tactics!" or worst, carlos agassi shouting "victim" and yeah, c bitoy pa pala "yari ka!" lol.
I think it is gonna take us a while to really get over this madness..

I've only had an hour and a half of sleep last night.. Insomnia is bothering me again.. Shifting skeds really suck.. One week we are on graveyard, the next it's 6 in the morning.. urgh..
I've never been this anxious about the weekend.. Thank God for rest days!! 8 more minutes and we'll be going home.. yeah!!

It all started in the elevator.. And my teammates just won't stop scaring each other..
Anyway, I still believe that dogs are spookier than any ghost stories.. those angry little askals.. why the hell won't they just leave me alone?!
According to psychics, whenever we gather around to talk about ghost stories, spirits join us to listen to how we make up stories about them..
But dogs are way too spookier, I don't even think about them but they just won't leave me alone..

Anyway, weekend's drawing near and so is the 13th month pay.. I think I really am gonna like this job.. You see, it's been like only 4 weeks since I started and I am already making 3 times more than a month's worth of salary of my previous job.. and there's a rumor that they are gonna give us our 13th month bonus tomorrow.. whoa.. life couldn't be better.. lol..

Im still thinking of what to do with the bonus.. sure it's not a lot, but hey! it is still a bonus.. lol.. maybe ill buy a new pair of vans sleep-ons (I've been wanting to wear an original ever since, lol) or go to quiapo's DVDlandia and buy the complete Simpsons dvd collection for my brother.. or maybe I could drop by SM Cubao and shop for yuppy clothes.. how about getting my father a new phone?!.. our old computer could use a new optical mouse.. paying the bills for the month would please my mother too..
yeah, they were right when they said that the more money we come across, the more problems we see (yes its from a line of a song lol).. all of a sudden, I remembered how my high school economics teacher told us that our demands are always equal to how much our salaries are.. makes sense.. because when I was still making just a few grand from my previous job, my life was simpler.
good thing that I'm a wise spender.. hehe.. and yeah, nothing beats the ecstasy a first payslip brings.. lol.. I just got my first pay last week and I'm getting another one next week.. lol.. and yes.. plus the 13th month bonus.. lol
